Basic Planning and Production for TV
Hands-on introduction to the principles and practices of single-camera video field production and post-production linear editing for students with little or no prior experience in video production. Students will be assigned work as part of a production crew for shooting/editing assignments outside of class time.

Television Station Operations (Plattsburgh State Television *PSTV*)
A hands-on experience as a working member of a television station. Students will be required to perform as a technical crew member and/or on-air talent in the operation of a television station.

Broadcast Technology
A hands on course that teaches the basic technology behind television/radio production. Students learn how to spot problems and help troubleshoot issues to save time on remote production shoots. Students also learn about the various equipment needed for productions and about the test equipment used to keep it all working correctly.

Multimedia Production Design
A hands-on production course introducing students to the basic elements of multimedia production (including web sites), an overview of the different types of multimedia applications, and the discovery of the effective uses of design and interactivity involved in the construction of communication messages in a multimedia environment.

Television Studio Production
Hands-on TV production experience that focuses usage of multi-camera studio technique and equipment for the production of tv programming.

Linear and Non-Linear Video Editing
Advanced hands-on applications in video editing for students who have completed the department's basic television production course (or equivalent). Includes in-depth examination of the technical and aesthetic factors involved in post-production editing.

Television Station Management (4 semesters)
An advanced practical experience in the daily operations and management of a television station including producing, directing, engineering, programming and promotions

Television Studio Production Lab Assistant
Assist instructor in planning, preparation, class demonstrations, and teaching in Television Studio Production course.
